Nobody on the ranch has seen a drought like this one! Ponds have dried up, the creek is down to a trickle, pastures have turned to burned toast, and the cows are kicking up clouds of dust. Then, to top it off, Pete the Barncat hatches a dastardly plot to ruin Loper's birthday! The last thing the cowboys need is a prarie fire, but that's what they get, and it begins to look like the next roundup might be their last. What the ranch really needs is a good rain to bring back the grass...and Loper's good mood!
Hank and Drover team up to sing both the "Drought Song" and following an "accident" in Slim's truck, "We Feel So Ashamed."
Get ready for laughs when you listen to these excerpts from ten of Hank’s stories! They are performed like an old-time radio show with sound effects and each character has its own unique voice! Rip and Snort the coyote brothers, taunts a raging rottweiler, gets into trouble with Sally May the rancher’s wife, and more! No self-respecting Head of Ranch Security would be caught dead sleeping on the job...so when Slim catches Hank asleep, not once but TWICE, Hank knows something sinister is afoot. And, if that’s the case, then odds are that Pete the Barncat is involved.
Later that day, the case takes an interesting twist when Hank learns that Pete has been missing for two days! Worried about her precious kitty, Sally May asks Slim and Hank to find and rescue Pete from whatever trouble he might’ve found himself in. However, when
Hank runs into his old friends Wallace and Junior the buzzards, he learns that Sinister the Bobcat might also be on Pete’s trail…and he’s not interested in returning Pete to Sally May!

Of all the mysteries Hank has faced in his illustrious career as the Head of Ranch Security, the only one that still has him truly stumped is the key to unlocking Miss Beulah’s heart. Why on earth would she go for a bird-brained bird dog when a specimen like Hank stands ready to sweep her off her feet? Could there be more to this problem than meets the eye? When Plato wanders off Billy’s ranch and Beulah discovers he’s lost, she tries to enlist Hank’s help to rescue him, and this presents Hank with a real moral dilemma: Will he help find his rival, or will he leave Plato to face the dangers of coyote country by nightfall alone?
Hank is forced to sing “Happy Birthday” to someone and later hear Hank and Beulah’s beautiful instrumental “Our Song.”
Fall is an important time of year on a ranch, mostly because it means that winter is coming soon! And, on Hank's ranch, that means that the cake house is about to be filled with bags of feed to get the cattle through the long, frozen days ahead. Unfortunately, this particular feed-delivery is accompanied by a town mutt named Roy who gets Hank into big trouble with some local yellow jacket wasps. Once the cake house is full, Slim puts Hank in charge of guarding their winter supply from marauding raccoons a responsibility that could only be handled by the elite forces of the Security Division.
However, when Hank suddenly finds himself pitted against the notorious Eddy the Rac, he realizes that this mission will require every ounce of cunning he possesses. Will Hank be able to keep the cake house safe, or will Eddy's sneaky tricks win the day?

near-disaster, he discovers that a couple of town thugs – Buster and Muggs – have come carousing, threatening the success of the entire picnic. Will Hank be able to single-handedly rid his ranch of this sudden influx of invaders, or is it possible that he’ll receive help from an entirely unexpected quarter?
Plato is back...that is, back on the scene. Once again, he's lost and Beulah is worried. However, when she calls on Hank to head up a rescue effort, little do either of them realize that their search will lead them right into the path of the hungry cannibal brothers, Rip and Snort. Will Hank be able to protect Miss Beulah and find Plato, or will help–for both of them–come from an unexpected source? Find out in this new mystery from everyone's favorite Head of Ranch Security!

Night.” Hank sings a soulful number called “The Cold Weather Cowdog Blues.”
